Hair treatment agent made by Liposome Technology

Aim of this patent:

Use Liposome as a vehicle to carry the active ingredient Gamma-Docosalactone to the hair, which forms a lipid layer similar to 18-MEA to protect the hair.

Role of Gamma-Docosalactone

Erucalactone is a plant-derived lactone, induced from eruca acid (cis-13-Docosenoic acid) that is obtained from grapeseed. It reacts with amino groups existing in hair, and then bonds together. As a result, a hydrophobic layer is formed on the hair, which plays as 18-MEA and protects the hair.
18-MEA: it is a natural lipid on the surface of the hair, it will be destroyed and removed during the hair dyeing or perming process. Without this lipid, hair will become entangled and disorderly in the dry state.

Higher receding contact angle and lower friction force allow hair fibers to move more easily over each other and realign with each other

18-Mea Removed Hair

Decrease in receding contact angle remain wet longer, strengthen the adhesive force between hair fiber, and causes hair fiber to aggregate together
Decrease in friction force makes hair fiber easier to manage
